Relaxing & Memorable Tourist Destinations
An Indian archipelago in the Bay of Bengal is known as the Andaman Islands. These about 300 islands are distinguished by their white sand beaches bordered with palm trees, mangrove swamps, and tropical rainforests. Popular diving and snorkelling locations are coral reefs that are home to ray. The only known active volcano in Asia can be found on the desolate Barren Island, which is located around 135 kilometres from Port Blair. The first eruption of the Barren Volcano occurred in 1787, followed by another six-month-long eruption in 2010. Since then, it has occasionally erupted smaller amounts of lava.
Why is the island of Andaman and Nicobar popular with tourists?
Many people plan trips to the Andaman Islands’ sandy beaches every year in quest of seclusion, unspoiled nature, and adventure, but relatively few are aware that the islands are also regarded as the “paradise of birds.” According to reports, the Andaman Island is home to 270 different bird species, both migratory and endemic.
